Dear friends of Underwater Rugby, I welcome you to the VII World Championship.

As always, a championship is a technical confrontation, but more than that it is also the occasion in which we are called to think upon the actual situation of the discipline.

The Underwater Rugby sport discipline is evolving from a significant past to a promising future development. This is a goal we should always keep to improve in the future. It is the great passion existing in this sport that provides the energy to achieve important goals. The Confederation closely looks this discipline and it is ready to give its support and contribution in order to obtain important aims.

Denmark can become a significant step on this route to follow. The competence and the hospitality of the Danish Sport-diver Federation and the Organizing Committee are a guaranty of the success for the good developing of the championship.
