Meals

We can offer you the following meal:

 

Lunch Buffet     Price:     68 DKK                   

Consisting of: For instance, two type of meat (beef and Chicken). Salads, potatoes, bread and butter.

Dinner Buffet    Price:      88 DKK                  

Consisting of: Main course: Lasagne or Chicken or fish or pork. The main course will be announced the day before it will be served. Side dishes, Salad, vegetables and fruit.

 

The lunch and dinner buffet will be served in the Center cafeteria next to the pool.

Game and playing schedule. WC-2003 UW-Rugby:
 
Training session in the pool: Monday 26 May 2003
Opening Ceremony: Tuesday morning 27 May 2003
Games will start: Tuesday afternoon (13.00) 27 May 2003
Finales will be: Saturday 31 May 2003
 
Women:
There will be two Groups for women.
 
Draw for group C and D
Ranking for the teams are as follows:
 
Level 1: Sweden and Norway (no.1 and 2 from the last WC)
Sweden and Norway cannot be in the same group for games in the first round.
 
Level 2: Germany and Columbia (no.3 and 4 from the last WC)  
Germany and Columbia cannot be in the same group for games in the first round.
 
Level 3 and 4: Denmark, USA and Turkey:
These teams will be placed, by draw, in the two groups.
 
First Round:
All team in group C play against each other. (There will be 4 teams in this group)
All team in group D play against each other. (There will be 3 teams in this group)
 
Intermediate Round:
Game no. 1: No.2 from Group C will meet no.3 from Group D. They will play for a place in the semi-finale against the winner of Group D
 
Game no. 2: No.2 from Group D will meet no.3 from Group C. They will play for a place in the semi-finale against the winner of Group C
 
Rank 5 - 7
The two losers from the intermediate round will play for ranking 5
The loser of this game will play against no.4 from group D for ranking 6 and 7
 
Semi-finales:
The winner from group C will meet the winner from game no.2 in the intermediate round.
The winner from group D will meet the winner from game no.1 in the intermediate round.
The winner of the two semi-finals will meet each other in the finale.
The losers will play for ranking 3 and 4
 
Men:
There will be two Groups for men 
 
Draw for group A and B: Ranking for the teams is as follows:

Team picture

Straight after the opening ceremonie is over, all teams has to have a team picture taken.
The team picture will be taken in the same arena, as the opening ceremonie takes place.
The order in witch the teampictures will be taken, will take into account the playing schedule.
(The whole session will take up to one hour before all team picture is taken)

The opening ceremony will be hold in hall no.1, which is in connection to the pool area.

Lars Olsson will organise the teams before entry to the hall. The team will enter in this order: 1) Colombia, 2) Czech Republic, 3) Finland, 4) Germany, 5) Norway, 6) Russia, 7) Sweden 8) Switzerland, 9) Turkey, 10) USA and 11) Denmark

Team picture: Tuesday 27 May 10.40 – 11.40

Test of UW-Rugby balls for the tournament: Tuesday 27 May: 12.00

The referees will check all UW-Rugby balls for the tournament. If your team has some UW-Rugby balls, they want the referees to check, please bring these UW-Rugby balls to the test. Bring both red and white UW-Rugby balls to the test.

For the Test: Only one person can represent each team!

Games Start:

Tuesday 27 May: 13.00

 

Medals awarding and closing ceremony: Saturday 31 May: 17.15 - 18.00

The medals awarding and closing ceremony will be hold in hall no.1, the same hall as the opening ceremony was held.

 

Gala Party: Saturday 31 May: 19.30 – (24.00)

The party will be hold in hall no. 5 and 6, which are in connection to the pool area. You will be served a 3-courses dinner including a glass of white wine and a beer/soft drink You can buy red wine, beers and soft drinks in the bar. There will be a discothèque under and after the dinner.

Procedures for Games:

List of players has to be forwarded to the referees table not later than one hour before the match!

Before a game begin:

  • The referee will call the captain from each team, they will swim to the middle of the pool and hand-over a national banner.
  • The referee will call for start of the game.
  • The game will start.

After the game:

  • Immediately after the game: The two teams will leave the pool, both teams will stay at the edge of the pool waiting for the national hymn of the winning team.
  • After the national hymn the two teams will pass each other, in the pool, and shake hands.
  • The players leave the playing area.
  • The captain or the team coach from each team will sign the match journal for acceptance. The signing has to be done at the referee table not later than 15 minutes after the match.

 

Warm-Up areas:

Warm-up area at land, inside: Available for all teams. We have one big hall for warm-up: Dimension: 14m x 40m. Location of Warm-up area will be shown after the information meeting!

Warm-Up area in water: Available one hour before a game!

Claims:

Claims must be announced within the fifteen minutes after the game, and submitted to the Chief referee Lauri Nurminen within an hour!

Deposit for claim: 100 EURO ~750 DKK has to be handed over at the same time as the claim!

Important information!

In connection to the secretariat you will find boxes for each team. In these boxes important messages will be given to the teams. Please remember to check your box when you are in the pool area

An update of the results will be handed over in these boxes every day!

In the secretariat you can buy T-shirts and towel with logos. Opening hours will be announced by signs.

Services from the secretariat:

  • You can at all time get the result of the games by the secretary.
  • We can offer you free internet access if you bring your own laptop. Opening hours : 10.00 – 18.00 (Monday 26 May to Saturday 31 May)
  • You can get internet access form the secretariat using the Secretariats computer. Opening hours will be announced by signs. Only short messages can be forwarded from the secretariats computer!

If you need transportation between the pool and your hotel:

Please make your booking the day before you need the transportation:

You should contact the secretariat in the pool area or call them by phone.

Conflict between transportation of two teams:

Please be patient, you might be picked up earlier than you actual would have preferred! But you will never arrive later to the pool than wanted!

The secretariat gives you the exact pick-up time when you call them!

First priority for transportation: Only teams who have a game to play!

Transportation to down town Fredericia, the beach, etc: Please use the local busses. Time schedule will be handed over Sunday 25 May

Procedures before entering the pool area:

At the entrance to the dress room you can pick up a key for a personal locker where you can place all you clothes.

Remark!

All players have to take a shower before entering the pool! Remember to use soap.
